The Journey of Ignite 2023

Ignite’s journey begins with a virtual phase, continues with an optional in- person phase and ends with a country solution phase.

Four months of weekly sessions from industry and cross industry experts, Working Groups, Office Hours, Peer Coaching and Feedback sessions.

Phase 1: Ignite Within

Week 1-4  (4th-29th July)

For 15+ hours each week, participants spend time on their agribusinesses through personal research and facilitator led sessions. Live sessions happen on zoom once every week.

During the week, there are various activities within working groups, field groups, country groups and individuals such as Igniting the Igniters, fire chats, Peer Coaching and Feedback sessions.

Phase 2: Ignite a sis

Week 5-8 (1st-31st August)

Helping each other is core principle of Ignite. We build a sisterhood that supports each other.

This phase is a structured Coaching from successful CEOs and also coaching from peers.

Our specialised agribusiness coaches spend time with igniters to dissect their businesses, provide advice that shape their agribusinesses and personalities, unlock self-imposed limits, help them to navigate challenges and meet their goals.

Supplementing the virtual session is the optional two weeks in person training with internships, strategic leadership retreats and diverse field trips to resilient Agribusinesses in Ghana.

Phase 3: Reach to Ignite

Week 9-13 (1st-30th September)

Founders are grouped depending on their agribusiness stages and type.

Throughout this phase, each participant is placed in a working group according to their business stage. Working groups meet at least once a week to help each other on their business growth.

Phase 4: Ignited to Ignite

Week 14-18 (1st-31st October)

Igniters solve big problems. At this phase, Igniters are tasked to solve a pressing issue affecting women in agribusiness in their various countries. This project continues even after Ignite.

Award

Postgraduate/Advanced/Diploma in Agribusiness

For 80+ contact hours, assignments, and examinations, qualified and interested Igniters earn a Postgraduate Diploma in Agribusiness certified by the London Academy of Professional Training and the Enterprise Risk Management Institute at a fee. Please scroll down for the fees.

Graduation

Completing Ignite is an award. Not all participants are able to complete Ignite because it is tough just like running a business.

Those who complete successfully are called Igniters and are awarded with Agribusiness Igniters certificates.

Active Igniters throughout the programme are also given prizes.

Post Ignite

We are intentional about our post ignite programme. The alumnae get access to resources that help them to be on to of their game. They also get ongoing support from mentors, coaches and the ignite team.

Alumnae get to speak on high level platforms, network and build partnerships with like minded founders and leaders.

There’s the Ignite annual retreat to help them re-set, unwind and re-strategise. On top of this is the support from the sisterhood to encourage and help each other grow.
